These are badly designed specially the charging circuits and the batteries...buy AA battery operated Fly Swatters. They are much better. Same design same circuit same Voltage output 1.5to2KV ranged...just the charging is not needed. Or if New technology of Lithium Ion is introduced here then it will be beneficial in the long terms.

There is an increased demand for high quality Japanese Nippon-Chemicon (Nichicon) Electrolytic capacitors. Their quality is well-known among electronics enthusiastics. I had fond them inside 20 - 25 year old CRT TV SMPS stages where they are suffering high temperatures for long periods. To my exclamation, those capacitors are still in good shape with low ESR. Many fakers are currently taking advantage of this increased demand in market. They are removing the plastic wrapper sheet from any old crappy cappacitors and placing new nichicon label printed plastic heat-shring sleeves in it's place. You can identify this forgery, by carefully removing the plastic cover and observing the aluminium cylinder. You can clearly see some scratches, dirt and dents in it. Some fakers will even attempt to fill those dents with candle-wax. Almost all CRT TV replacement motherboards (China CRT TV kit) in the market are using this fake Nichicon capacitor. You can see a 220uF/400V capacitor in it's powersupply stage. That capacitor is actually a crappy China brand 100uF capacitor which is mis-labeled as 220uF Nichicon.
